This was rejected by the mods at chemicalromance. I submitted it a second time with a note, just to ask why it was rejected since there was no reason given. The mod then messaged me saying that, in a nutshell, it was rejected because it was not news pertaining directly to the band, did not contain pretty pictures for people to ogle or for people to bitch about their weights/facial hair/hygeine/how much they hate the name Bandit and it was considered it advertising. That's what I got out of the reasoning anyway. I couldn't help but be perturbed by this considering most of the posts that get through there. Frankly, I think it's bullshit. If we aren't allowed to submit this type of thing there, where are we supposed to do it? It is the biggest MCR community on LJ after all. I wasn't hawking my shitty merch or a community. I mean, basically one of the guys could drop a deuce, take a twitpic and it would be approved there for fans to analyze the shape and consistency but god forbid someone have a positive suggestion of some sort. Even if nothing at all comes of it.

After days and days in the queue my post was rejected a second time. The mods saying they came to a "mutual agreement" that it shouldn't be posted because it isn't directly related to the band.....Of course. Because you really needed to know that the Helena replica dress was up for bid on E-bay. Oh, and it was very vital for you to see someones fan fiction satire lyrics. Obviously, these are both very very very relevant and directly related to the band.

Ok, so, a lot of you may have heard of the NOH8 Campaign. If you haven't basically it's a photo project and "silent protest" of the passage of Prop 8.

The band doesn't seem too political but from statements they've made in the past it would seem they are interested in equality. To me, that is what this campaign is about.

I thought it would be worth a shot to bring the project to their attention in the off chance of even one of them being interested in participating.

All I am asking is to re-tweet this *or feel free to make your own tweet mentioning @NOH8Campaign to ANY or ALL of the band* once. Not ten or twenty times to badger and flood him with it but once. I think if a handful of people were to do that he'd either:

1. See it and ignore it.
2. Say no or that he/they don't have time.
3. Still not see it at all. Haha.

I just think it would be neat if there were even a slim chance of one or all of them taking a portrait. Especially since it's for such a good cause.

Oh, and feel free to ask your friends to re-tweet. Remember though, only once, please.

I guess that's it. Again, this is just a suggestion, if you have different views on the matter then you don't have to do it. I'm not looking to start a debate. I was just interested in bringing a good cause to their attention. Even if nothing at all comes of it, if he notices at all, maybe it will be a refreshing thing to see in the midst of all the garbage that is tweeted to them all the time.

**eta: if you know of any other people of interest who would be keen on participating, why not go ahead and try to make them aware of the project as well! :]

i actually did not do or receive anything for my birthday. it rained, hailed and thunder stormed all day. the only person who called me was my nana. she happened to call me after i put on make up just to take pictures. really really awful pictures of my face.

If you had your own radio or television station, what would it be called and what kind of programming would it play?

to be perfectly honest, a secret passion of mine since i was a kid was to be a vj. no joke. back when mtv played actually music videos and had programming that actually revolved around music. i honestly thought that it must have been the coolest thing in the world, to constantly be surrounded by and working with something you have a legitimate passion and interest for. i thought it was amazing that these people didn't have to actually produce music themselves to be a part of that world. they were essentially, fans and nothing more.

that said, i would JUMP at the chance to have my own media music outlet. not because i think my taste is anything spectacular, in fact, there are a lot of folks and critics who would probably laugh in my face, but that's not the point. the point is i'm a fan, and as a fan, i want to share what i like, what i enjoy and what i'm interested in. it would be awesome to have a job or opportunity like that.

i have no idea what i'd call it. i wouldn't want to give the impression that you are only going to hear any one type of music. in fact, i don't think i'd want it just to focus on music, but movies, technology and every so often, politics.

i'd want it to be something people could have fun with and also be interested in the content to a degree where they are actually thinking. sort of interactive.

so i guess it would be a little of something for everyone. not so much a talk show but a forum for all sorts of artists in all sorts of categories to come and be heard.

i don't get very close to people that often, but when i do i go head first. i throw myself into the few friendships i manage to have whole heartedly. it always goes south in the end. always. i've never ever experienced a lasting friendship. my bad habit is trusting too much that people will be willing to put up with or give themselves as much as i do. it never works that way. never.
