18th-Oct-2009 06:22 am - Posting This Here Because I Can~
This was rejected by the mods at [info]chemicalromance. I submitted it a second time with a note, just to ask why it was rejected since there was no reason given. The mod then messaged me saying that, in a nutshell, it was rejected because it was not news pertaining directly to the band, did not contain pretty pictures for people to ogle or for people to bitch about their weights/facial hair/hygeine/how much they hate the name Bandit and it was considered it advertising. That's what I got out of the reasoning anyway. I couldn't help but be perturbed by this considering most of the posts that get through there. Frankly, I think it's bullshit. If we aren't allowed to submit this type of thing there, where are we supposed to do it? It is the biggest MCR community on LJ after all. I wasn't hawking my shitty merch or a community. I mean, basically one of the guys could drop a deuce, take a twitpic and it would be approved there for fans to analyze the shape and consistency but god forbid someone have a positive suggestion of some sort. Even if nothing at all comes of it.

After days and days in the queue my post was rejected a second time. The mods saying they came to a "mutual agreement" that it shouldn't be posted because it isn't directly related to the band.....Of course. Because you really needed to know that the Helena replica dress was up for bid on E-bay. Oh, and it was very vital for you to see someones fan fiction satire lyrics. Obviously, these are both very very very relevant and directly related to the band.

cut to save those of you who don't give a hoots f-page )

**eta: if you know of any other people of interest who would be keen on participating, why not go ahead and try to make them aware of the project as well! :]

matt skiba being all mysterious and brooding in the sunset with his motorcycle thanks you for your time.

Not so ranty rant under the cut )

I've ~painstakingly~ compiled my two favorite songs from each album. Well, of the moment anyway because I find with this band I constantly have a new "favorite". If you were cool you'd already have all this shit..

Cutest picture ever, ok?

Cut to save your friends page because it's pretty long )

Sorry to those of you who don't give a shit about any of this stuff. Scroll on by.

Other than that, new Trio album early next year. New Skiba album after that. Color me as excited as ever.

so last night, i was very upset. and as i do when i am upset i retreat into my head and live in a fantasy because that is where i like it best.

in my world, i was all snarles and ripped tights and smudged lipstick that was fire engine red and i smashed things and growled about how i was empowered simply by being me. and people would rock and bang into each other and shout and move because i demanded it. i was a force. and yes, i did beat the millionaires senseless and i was applauded because frankly, that's just how it should be.

but alas, for it was but a fleeting dream.....

LUCKY FOR YOU IT INSPIRED A STIRRING WITHIN ME TO....

If you had your own radio or television station, what would it be called and what kind of programming would it play?

to be perfectly honest, a secret passion of mine since i was a kid was to be a vj. no joke. back when mtv played actually music videos and had programming that actually revolved around music. i honestly thought that it must have been the coolest thing in the world, to constantly be surrounded by and working with something you have a legitimate passion and interest for. i thought it was amazing that these people didn't have to actually produce music themselves to be a part of that world. they were essentially, fans and nothing more.

that said, i would JUMP at the chance to have my own media music outlet. not because i think my taste is anything spectacular, in fact, there are a lot of folks and critics who would probably laugh in my face, but that's not the point. the point is i'm a fan, and as a fan, i want to share what i like, what i enjoy and what i'm interested in. it would be awesome to have a job or opportunity like that.

i have no idea what i'd call it. i wouldn't want to give the impression that you are only going to hear any one type of music. in fact, i don't think i'd want it just to focus on music, but movies, technology and every so often, politics.

i'd want it to be something people could have fun with and also be interested in the content to a degree where they are actually thinking. sort of interactive.

so i guess it would be a little of something for everyone. not so much a talk show but a forum for all sorts of artists in all sorts of categories to come and be heard.

would anyone be interested in an invite to lockerz?

usually i don't go for this kind of thing but this seems pretty legit.

and if you don't know what it is, here is the description from the site:

Lockerz is the place to go to buy the coolest stuff at the lowest prices, watch exclusive video, discover new music, play the hottest games, hang out with your friends - and get rewarded for just about EVERYTHING you do on the site.

Our mission is to be your daily habit, not a site for your parents or grandparents looking for their long-lost friends from Kindergarten.

One other thing you'll love about Lockerz are PTZ (or "Pointz"). PTZ are Lockerz' proprietary loyalty "currency" that you earn whenever you buy, watch, play, share, invite friends, or even just show up on Lockerz. Redeem PTZ at the PTZ Place for incredible prizes, great products and dream experiences.

Too Good to Be True? Why are we doing this? To thank you for joining early. To build a Lockerz community of cool, stylish, cutting-edge people who love to buy great brands. To give you a taste of how PTZ will work when we go live this fall. And to test out different prizes and PTZ levels. That’s key. This version of PTZ Place is a test. PTZ levels will change when the full Lockerz site launches.

Lockerz is set to launch sometime in the Fall 09. Members who sign up now will get to explore and help shape the site before the launch. We hope you'll join us.

if you're skeptical you can take a gander at their facebook page.

idk, i have nothing better to do so why not waste my time on a site that may give me ~prizes~.

anyway, if you want an invite please leave your e-mail address here.

comments are screened and i can only give out 20.

This is just to keep track of what textures/bases I'm downloading/using.
I may not have used the textures/bases at some of these links, but I'm just putting this here because if I use them in the future, there is no way I'll remember where I got them from and I don't want people calling me a *thief* and what not....
